Adobe Connect is a web conferencing system that allows individuals to meet online in a synchronous manner. The University of Ottawa's current access to Adobe Connect is limited. Accordingly, the university  has made arrangements with Contact North to provide access to Adobe Connect for all faculty and students at the university.

Adobe Connect Meeting - a Guided Tour

There are Adobe Connect Web conferencing Introduction, Instructor, and Expert sessions available as on-demand webinars. For more information on these sessions please visit our Adobe Connect Meeting Training Schedule. These recorded sessions are available in both English and French. We strongly recommend that you watch at least a session on the basics of Adobe Connect. Contact North will be adding a few short topic-specific webinars to the list of options, as well as a number of  live Q&A sessions for faculty and instructors who have attended the webinars. You do not have to attend an  entire session but it is strongly recommended. 

An Adobe Connect account will be created for anyone who fills out the form below, or for anyone who registers for  an Adobe Connect webinar.

To get started, please fill in the form below so that Contact North can create course spaces.

You will be added as a host to each of the course spaces that are created for you and once this process is complete, you will receive an e-mail from Contact North that contains your login information, as well as notification of the spaces that you have been enrolled in.

Through our custom portal, you will be able to convenientlyaccess all of your Adobe Connect course spaces in one place.

You can now request your Adobe Space for Spring Summer session. Furthermore, you can also get a limited free Zoom account  for individual support outside the classroom like office hours, for TAs to give one-on-one support to students, for questions after class, etc.

Adobe Connect Course Space Request Form

To facilitate the transfer of information to Contact North, please complete this form for each one of your courses and course time slots. For example, if you are instructing a course that is offered twice a week (e.g. Monday 8:30-10:00 a.m.; Wednesday 1:30-3:00 p.m.), you will need to complete this form twice (once for each time slot of the course). Thank you for your understanding.

You must make your request 24 hours in advance in order for our team to transfer it to Contact North and for their technical team to have time to create the spaces.

  1. Go to the e-CLASSES portal https://eclassesconnect.contactnorth.ca/auth/login?next=%2F
  2. Login ID is the e-mail address that you provided during the sign-up process.
  3. Temporary password is Connexion23 (if you already changed your password it will be the one you set).
  4. Click the Forgot your password link if you need to reset your password.

Please be patient with us

We are creating sessions as quickly as we can, with a priority on those starting soonest.  We are currently working on Thursday and Friday sessions but expect to be caught up over the weekend.

If you do not see your session in the portal or listed on the Class Links site, and your class is scheduled for tomorrow morning or today, or if you experience  technical difficulties accessing your classes, please e-mail  or call our IT Helpdesk at 1-888-850-4628.  If your class is for a later date and not yet in your My Sessions list, please don’t call the Helpdesk so that we can continue to support those who require immediate technical assistance.
